The game made its world premiere at E3 2009 with a trailer during the Microsoft press event.
Arthas Menethil is a fictional character from Blizzard Entertainment’s Warcraft universe of games, novels and media. He serves as the main protagonist in the Warcraft III: Reign of Chaos PC game and as the main antagonist in that game’s expansion, Warcraft III: The Frozen Throne. He is also the titular antagonist in Wrath of the Lich King, the second expansion pack of the World of Warcraft massively multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORPG). Arthas’ appearance changes drastically over the course of the three games. Initially, he is depicted as ruggedly handsome with blond hair and blue eyes. In The Frozen Throne (following his fall from grace at the end of Reign of Chaos) his appearance becomes gray and haggard. As the titular character in Wrath of the Lich King, he is fully encased in armor and has glowing blue eyes.
